Pricing Policy

The price of goods shall be in accordance with those set out on the relevant webpage on We make every effort to ensure that the prices within our website are correct.

Due to the nature of our business, our prices will vary according to weather, seasonality and supply. You are advised to check the prices of our fish on this website before placing an order.


Your order shall only include quantity, quality and description of goods as set out in your order, and which has been accepted by us.

We reserve the right to reject any order, although they are normally accepted if the selected products are available and your payment method is authorised for the transaction.

No order submitted by you shall be deemed to be accepted by us until it is confirmed via email or in writing by us.

Any error or omission in any information or document issued by S&J Shellfish shall be subject to correction, provided that is does not affect the contract herewith.

Only one special offer code can be used at a time unless stated otherwise on the release of that offer. All offers can be withdrawn at any time and without notice. All offers are subject to availability.


We process all the usual credit or debit cards online. When you place an order using a debit or credit card, you confirm that all the information contained within the order is true and that you authorise us to deduct the confirmed amount from your chosen payment card.

Once your order has been packaged and is ready for our carriers to collect, we will debit your credit/debit card on the same day we dispatch the order. We will require the postal code of where the credit/debit card is registered to.

Should we not be able to collect payment for reasons outside of our control, we will not dispatch your order. Should this happen we will make every effort to contact you and advise you, however we accept no liability for any loss incurred due to the delay in dispatching your order.

Where goods have been returned by you and a fair settlement has been agreed, we will credit the same payment card with an appropriate amount.

We will not pass on your personal information to any third party without your permission, and unless solely due to our negligence, will not be held responsible for any problems you may incur or losses you may suffer.

Delivery Area

We deliver to the UK mainland 4 days per week from Wednesday- Saturday. (Please note at this time, we do not deliver to Channel Islands, Scottish Islands & Islands)


Delivery of your order shall be made to the delivery address provided. You are responsible for giving us the full name of the recipient and correct address for all deliveries, including but not limited to the postcode. These details are passed directly to the courier service once the order is placed, and if our carriers are unable to deliver any order due to any error in the address, you will be charged for the order in full. If there is no answer at the specified delivery address and no alternative delivery instructions, the courier will attempt to leave the delivery at a neighbouring address unless stated not to do so in the delivery instructions on your order, if the delivery company is unable to leave the delivery with a neighbouring address and there are no delivery instructions and no safe place to leave the order the delivery will be returned to the depot and it will become your responsibilty to collect it. Should you ask for your order to be left in a specific place and the carrier cannot obtain a signature to confirm the delivery of your order, it will be left at your own risk; we accept no liability for its loss or damage.

There is a £5 delivery charge for deliveries Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. And a £8 delivery charge for Saturday deliveries

Please note for Saturday deliveries all orders must be placed by Thursday before 12pm.

All our fresh fish portions are vacuumed packed for your convenience. This provides great storage for both your fridge or freezer.

We use the highest quality insulated boxes to ensure your products are perfectly chilled upon arrival. Combined with our ice packs our products remain in the safe temperature zone for at least 36 hours.

Refund Policy

Due to the nature of our business refunds will not be issued once your goods have been dispatched. For health and safety reasons we cannot except any returns. However, if we have made a genuine mistake, or for some unforeseen reason our fish was not up to our usual high standards, then we will of course help to rectify the situation. Photographic/video evidence will be required for the fish in question. Please do not throw it away as we need to see it to determine the issue. Email for any refunds, please note any complaints without supporting photographic evidence might not be upheld.

Damaged Products

If any of your products are damaged in any way upon receipt, please email us at within 24 hours. Please attach photographic evidence.

Due to the perishable nature of the goods we deliver, you do not have the right to cancel an order for the purchase of a Fish box after it has been dispatched.

Cancelation Policy

You may cancel the purchase of a Fish Box at any time before the cut off times relevant to your delivery day by emailing us at

  • If you place an order on Sunday the cut off  time will be 3am on Monday
  • If you place an order on Monday the cut off time will be 3am Tuesday
  • If you place an order on Tuesday the cut off time will be 3am Wednesday
  • If you place an order on Wednesday the cut off time will be 3am Thursday
  • If you place an order on Thursday the cut off time will be 3am Friday
  • If you place an order on Friday the cut off time will be 3am Saturday
  • If you place an order on Saturday the cut off time will be 3am Sunday

Cut-off times may vary in the approach to a bank holiday-please contact us to discuss bank holiday cut off times. Cancellation must be made by email to and cannot be through social media. You remain responsible for ensuring that any such change or cancellation is not only transmitted by you but received by us, in time for the deadline.

If, for reasons within our control, we fail to deliver part or whole of your order, we will reimburse no more than the price of the goods and the delivery charge. After 8am on the day of dispatch we are unable to change any details for the delivery as they are passed to the courier company at this time and will be logged into their national system. We ask for any issues with delivery be reported within 24 hours of expected delivery time.

Our Guarantee

We aim to supply fish and products of the highest standard; if you are not happy with the quality of our fish and products, we will refund your money by the same method as payment was received. We reserve the right to collect any product that is deemed unsatisfactory prior to issuing a refund.

Whilst we make every effort to remove all bones from filleted fish, please check thoroughly that there are no bones or foreign bodies left within any fillets as no liability will be accepted by the company for any injury or loss as a result of these items. Not all fish that are filleted will be pin boned as this can be detrimental to the look of the product and will mean a greater loss of edible meat, please contact us if you have any questions about what species this will affect.
